ECOVER

Mike Golding's partnership with ECOVER began in 2001. The synergy between the world’s foremost ecological cleaning products manufacturer and the Mike Golding team was clear.

Ecover is the world's leading manufacturer of ecological cleaning and washing products. Founded in Belgium in 1980, Ecover has always been at the forefront of its industry - it marketed a phosphate-free washing powder even before phosphates were branded as a problem.
Headquartered in Malle, close to Antwerp in Belgium, Ecover has sites in the USA, UK, and Switzerland. In 2007 it opened a new ecological factory in Northern France. With its grass roof that supports wild flowers and provides an effective temperature regulator and noise dampening insulator, the Ecover factory is one of the very first ecological production plants in France.
Ecover is respected throughout the world for its policy and its ethical approach to the complex issue of environmental protection. From the very start Ecover has set itself very precise specifications with regard to the production of its products: to only use renewable raw materials, that are less toxic for the aquatic environment, which offer total biodegradability beyond their first use, and which are kind to the skin.
Ecover's products are marketed in more than 20 countries around the world.

Musto

Musto clothing is recognised around the world for outstanding design and performance in the most testing conditions. Added to this, is the use of the very best technical fabrics available. Musto's development team works with top yachtsmen and women, plus the world's leading fabric manufacturers to continually innovate and improve the range.

One of the key members of this development team is Mike Golding. Musto has taken responsibility for providing performance and shore-side clothing for Mike and his team for the past 4 years, including clothing for the Vendee Globe 2004, Velux 5 Oceans 2006, Transat Jacques Vabre 2003 & 2005 , The Transat 2004 and Calais Round Britain 2005, to name but a few.
The team's kit list majors on the HPX and MPX ranges, which incorporate the latest GORE-TEX waterproof breathable technology and offer full protection from wind, spray and waves encountered in these challenging events, but also encompasses casual clothing for personal appearances and shoreside wear.

In the same way that Mike has developed a new state-of-the-art racing machine for the Vendee Globe 2008, he has been working with Musto to ensure that he benefits from the latest clothing technology, which continues to move rapidly forward in both fabrics and design.
