Created three years ago, the annual rendez-vous for the SNSM Record (French equivalent of the British RNLI) will take place from 20th to 25th June. It will comprise a new course this year since the start and finish will be located in Saint Nazaire. This year twice the distance , approximately 570 miles racing along the along the Breton coast, ECOVER will race with a crew of 5.

In 2006 Mike Golding won the IMOCA Class of the SNSM Record on ECOVER II and will be keen to regain the title from 2007 class winner Michel Desjoyeaux on Foncia.
